August 2011
Slow to update, but it has been a busy Summer... I am now represented by Encore Talent... I shot 2 short films this month, one spec commercial, cast in an indie feature, and have a 4th call back for a sci-fi web series. I took an 8 week course at the SAG/AFTRA office, learning about the business side of the industry. I took a monologue and scene study class, a 2 day workshop with Kathryn Rae Furrow, a workshop with Steve Wilson at 2 Birds Casting, and The Master Class with Brisa Ramon Garcia. I also worked with a dialect coach on my standard American dialect which I got to use in a short film, and I will be continuing my vocal training with a class at Second City starting this September. I also worked as a standardized patient at Northwestern which I do almost every month. 'At Last, Okemah' is still going strong, showing at Festivals across the country and picking up various awards. I am a very proud member of the Chicago Film Actors meetup group, which had its Summer Social, this month and had a great meeting this Summer where I got to participate in a 'typing' exercise where I got great feedback from the room about my "type" and marketing myself.
October 2010
Currently I am understudying the role of Valerie in "the Weir" with the Seanachai; taking a voice and dialect class at Victory Gardens, as well as private coaching on the Standard American Dialect. I just shot an awesome music video :)
Just got new headshots too, coming soon...
