The €23 Tripod I Love for Plein Air Painting

I just re-bought this €23 tripod, and honestly, I love it. I was previously using a professional tripod that cost me hundreds of euros, but this lightweight one has completely surprised me. It’s proof that a great plein air setup doesn’t have to be expensive to work beautifully.
What I love most is that it’s really tall, tall enough to paint at eye level, which is rare in lightweight models. It also has a super handy handle for carrying, a hook underneath where I hang my backpack for extra stability in the wind, and it’s very adjustable, so I can level it easily on uneven ground.
The only downside is that one of the legs eventually broke after a season of heavy use — but honestly, for €23 and how much painting I did with it, that feels like a fair trade. I’ve used it everywhere, and it’s become one of my favourite tripods I have owned.
If you’re looking for something lightweight, affordable, and tall enough to paint comfortably, but maybe not the sturdiest quality out there, this one is a great find. Here’s the exact model I use: https://amzn.to/4qPRuEq
